Grace’s POV

“You seem deeply in thoughts, Grace. What is bothering you?” My father’s voice startles me.

I shift my gaze, turning to them. I am glad he even noticed that something is wrong with me. All that has been happening here is the worry of how Ayana has turned ruthless and bold. Every day is the same issue. Ayana this Ayana that! Even that day, when I returned home at almost two in the morning, not much about me was said.

The drama queen still managed to steal the show even when she is a mere ghost in this house. It was all about how brave she had become. How ruthless she was turning towards us. How her stubbornness would cost us.

And mother? She is the worst because guilt is turning her into a repentant being. She is always questioning the decisions we made together. Saying how cruel we were to her daughter. How she did not deserve what we did to her. As if she did not right all these decisions. As if there is anything we can do to correct them.
