Chapter 141. Leaving Yet Again
Ayana’s POV
Getting out of the shower, I look at the clock on the war. It reads quarter to three in the afternoon. Perfect timing. I prepared my daughter first, and now I am also ready.
I grab my bag and hold my daughter’s hand, the same way I did a few days ago when I left that cursed place of the De Marios. The only difference is, I didn’t know where I was going when I left that hellhole.
I just wanted to leave so badly. I didn’t even know what I was going to do with the freedom I was after or what I was going to do to make us survive. But today, I have everything lined up, and I have a good feeling about something for the first time in a very long time.
