Adam’s POV

The drum rolls echo from heaven. Or hell. Whatever the case is, there are echoes everywhere. Echoes ascertaining that I will have this woman come what may. I can’t say for sure from where, but I hear the sounds from above. From all over. Both the heavens and the earth must be shaken by my declaration. Even I am shocked, but it is what I want, is what it is, and it is what will remain and what must happen. What I so damn want so much. And it must happen!

I have never desired anyone or anything. This is the first, and I must have it. I must quench this fire raging within me. I must find out what this woman possesses that is threatening my walls this much. I must find out.
