Chapter 76. Unseen Shadow
Days had passed so quickly, and Ayana had adjusted well in Robby’s home despite her confusion about the secrets that Robby was hiding from her. She had avoided asking anything because she knew she would end up being frustrated.
That morning, they had just returned from the hospital to have Lyana’s bandage removed. The wounds had healed completely, leaving some promising scars that would disappear in a while. Ayana was glad that her daughter was out of danger.
“I will go play with my toys in the playroom, Mommy,” Lyana said, bubbly. Robby had been more than kind and affectionate to her. He had been pampering her like his own fresh blood, getting her toys worth a fortune, which Ayana half appreciated and half hated at the same time.
“Sure, honey. Be careful on the stairs, okay?” Ayana said.
“I will,” she said as she stared up the stairs.
Both of them watched as Lyana bubbly walked up the stairs. Ayana felt happy that her child was happy and having a taste
