Chapter 100. In the City with Adam

Ayana’s POV

The Bugatti glides through the lone city streets at half past eleven. I am a full balloon, filled with anger and fear. I don’t know why this man can’t just see to my reaction and not waste any more of my time stopping here for his nonsense business.

Well, the unbothered cucumber is not even sparing me a glance as he drives through the clear streets. He does not seem perturbed at all. And I am certain he is it. What could worry him anyway? Nothing. Unless he misses the bimbo that he is picking up. Yeah, only that would worry him.

The city is filled with quietness as we drive through an unfamiliar street just within. All the shops have closed, and there are only some very sparse pedestrians walking by. It has been years ever since I toured this beautiful city. Its allure is still there, so inviting that it would pull anyone in the symphony of its beauty, but at least not me at this time. I can’t appreciate its charm at this ungodly moment.
