Chapter 40

There was no shop in Clayland that sold motorcycles, so they had to proceed to the next town. As soon as they were in the shop, Gabriel chose a scooter. Bianca objected to his chosen unit because it’s not meant for rough roads. But Gabriel insisted on it, so she just kept quiet.

Gabriel wanted to test-drive their new scooter. From Trinidad, they headed north towards the city proper. After two hours, they were in the city already. Then, they decided to have lunch in one of the seafood restaurants that was located inside ICM.

After lunch, they were on their way to Panglao Island. In less than twenty minutes, they arrived at their destination and checked in at Dumaluan Beach Resort.

Last year, they were in Dumaluan too for a staycation during a holiday for Thanksgiving. Gabriel has worked with a US company, and their paid holidays were similar to those in the USA. But last year, it was Bianca who arranged everything, from their hotel booking to their transportation.
