“Who is she to you?”

“And are the children yours?”

Samuel paused, contemplating his response. “Well, Michael, she is my new wife. I love her dearly, and the children are not biologically mine, but I love them as my own.”

Curiosity piqued, Michael probed further. “How did you two meet? It seems there’s something between you. I couldn’t help but notice the way you both looked at each other.”

Samuel chuckled nervously.

“Hey, dupe, why so many questions, brother?”

“Do you know her from before?” Samuel’s tone betrayed a mix of intrigue and defensiveness.

Michael’s gaze softened as he replied, “No, Samuel, I don’t know her. It’s just that there seems to be a connection, an unspoken bond, that I sensed. I’m merely curious, brother.”

Samuel hesitated, realizing that the truth might come out eventually. He took a deep breath and decided to share part of his story. “Well, there is a history between us, don’t dig into that.”
