As Samuel left the bar and headed home, he heard Abigail’s voice shouting behind him. “Listen and listen well! You won’t leave this house until you tell me what’s wrong,” she said firmly, determined to get answers.
With her voice shaking and tears in her eyes, Abigail pleaded, “Please, I’m sorry. I will explain everything.”
Taking a deep breath, she began to share her side of the story. “It was a difficult time for me. I went to the bar to drink and try to forget my broken heart. That’s when I met Michael, my ex-boyfriend.”
Samuel was taken aback by the revelation. “Your ex-boyfriend? But who’s the owner of the kids?” he asked, trying to understand the situation.
“I’m talking to you, look up,” he urged Abigail, wanting her to face him while she spoke.
Through tears and trembling voices, Abigail finally confessed, “The owner of the kids is Michael.”
