“You want something?” I asked with my brows shooting up questionably.

She fumbled and shuffled around the spot almost as if she’d lost all sense of direction, and then she abruptly averted her eyes as if she was just seeing me for the very first time.

“I.. I just wanted... I… I thought you’d gone out.” She said.

“No.” I shook my head. “Apparently, I didn’t.”
