Chapter 51
Serena POV
“Myles?” I called slowly. “Did you really do it?” He still said nothing.
Myles sat with his posture perfectly straight, staring ahead of him, even though he wasn’t really looking at anything. He just stared ahead unblinkingly, and this gave me the creeps.
I was too scared to ask again, so I kept quiet or rather, my lips kept quiet while my heart thumped quite loudly in my chest. I was too scared of the monster I had involved myself with. It was just for six months, right? Yeah, I’ll just suck it up for six months and then leave his life for good.
The car finally stopped in front of his office, and he got out immediately. He immediately began to walk up the stairs leading to the door, but he suddenly stopped, noticing that I wasn’t behind him. He walked back to the car and stooped to peer in.
“What are you doing?” He asked.
“Waiting for the driver to take me home,” I replied.
“No way.” He snapped. “I’m not risking you going
