Myles POV

I woke up very early, earlier than usual and left the house before Serena could wake up. I could say the reason why I fled the house so early was just to get out before she woke up, but the reason was different. I had a court hearing to attend.

I finally stepped through the doors of the courthouse with a briefcase in hand like a weapon waiting to be drawn.

My Italian shoes echoed across the polished floor as I walked past security and entered the courtroom where it would all play out.

The press had shown up in droves. Cameras were stationed outside. Reporters were whispering my name with the same breath they used for blood and scandal gists.
