Chapter 23. Kidnapped?

The news about Gwendolyn and Evander traveled fast. It even reached their parent's radar.

Gwendolyn didn't go home nor informed his brother about her arrival. In the meantime, she's staying at Evander's place until she finds a place to rent.

"You know you can just stay here; I'm your boyfriend, and I can provide you with anything. In fact, you wouldn't need to work if you lived with me. I'll take care of everything; money isn't a problem." Evander stated as he folded his towel after he finished showering.

Gwen chuckled and shook her head," You know we can't do that. I'll handle myself; you don't need to do any of what you said for now. I want to stand on my own two feet." she replied democratically.

Evander just shrugged and told her that he'd go with whatever she had in mind, "But if you do need any help, then I should be the first one who should know, okay? I wanna help." He said and smiled gently at her before giving her a kiss on the forehead.
