Chapter 22. The Beginning

'Did I dial the right number?' Gwen thought and checked her phone once again but it clearly says RED there. 

"Habibi? Zosia? You still there?" 

Then why is it Evander she's hearing? 

"Evander?" 

"Yeah? You need something Habibi?" 

"No, wait— I'm calling Red's number, right? Why are you answering the phone?" Gwen heard him cuss from the other line. 

And that's when her suspicion started. It all made sense, but she was with Evander that day when she called Red, and he wasn't holding or in a call with someone that time, so why? 

" Are you mad? "

" Wait, so it's true?" 

Evander sighed and answered yes. "I didn't want to lie to you. It's just that— I know you wouldn't talk to me if I approached you that fast just after you confessed that Saturday night."
