Allison walked quickly to her car and grabbed her phone. Not feeling like talking she sent Dallas a text that told her she was fine and just needed to process their conversation. She promised she'd explain later.

Gideon, no Scribe as he reminded her, texted and called every day. He signed his texts as Scribe. He wasn't letting her forget he was different now, as was she. Their past had changed them both.

She finally gave in when he requested a visit to their daughter's grave. After all she couldn't refuse him that right? That would just be cruel. So, she agreed to meet him at the cemetery.

When she got there, he was already there, leaning against his motorcycle waiting for her. She parked and got out and walked over to him. These visits were always hard for her.
