Chapter 61. Pain and Anger

Sushmita’s POV

It’s been three months since I got here. Rod helped me in establishing my restaurant. He talked to contractors, architects and investors to build connections and partnership. He helps me in everything including the broken pieces of me that Rodney left.

We were at my Villa drinking some wine in my room on the terrace.

“It’s a nice place you got here,” Rod said, it was eight in the evening and this is the first time that I brought him here.

“Yeah, this is my dungeon,” I said and he chuckled.

“Why do you call this a dungeon? It’s luxurious and the design is very modern,” he said and drank his wine.

“Well, my husband arranged this place for me, to start a new life, he said,” I said and drank my wine while looking at the breathtaking view of the sea.

“It means he cares for you so much despite what happened. He’s still a good man and besides, if he doesn’t let you go, I will never find you again, so I don’t know if this is selfish b
