Chapter 100. Familiar Face
Carlos's POV
“Just let him be. He is just having one of his grumpy days as usual…”
Nica's words hit my eardrums just as I crossed to the other side of the road. I scoffed in anger and then broke into a sprint, a scream escaping my lips.
As I ran, the memory from the previous day replayed in my head.

We were eating dinner in the dining room of my home, my mother, my father and I.
The atmosphere was serene yet comfortable. Suddenly, the door swung open with a force that made us all jump.
Anna, my older sister, who was also my only sibling, stood in the doorway. Her face was pale and her eyes wild with terror. Her hair was disheveled, and she clutched the doorframe as if it were the only thing keeping her from falling down.
Anna was married so she no longer lived with us but now lived with her husband. Their residence was at least a mile away. So, what was she doing here this late? A
