Chapter 23. Nica's Crush

Issahil's POV

Sniffing, I pulled away from Hudson's arms, and then rose to my feet. My palm moved to my face to wipe the tears on it, and then I turned to Hudson whose eyes I noticed were watching me all along. 

“Please, you can't tell my father about what happened today. Can you do me this favour?” I placed both my hands together pleadingly.

“He already has enough worries of his. I promise, I am fine. I just lost it for a minute but it won't happen again.” My last statement was mostly me reassuring myself not him.

Hudson sighed, and then nodded. “I won't tell your father about today. I am worried about you though.”

For a brief second I saw the glint of a certain emotion play in his eyes, something resembling care. 

Well, it wasn't surprising that he cared. We were in the same pack and we had gotten quite close. We were close enough to be regarded as friends. 

“You don't have to be worried about me. I am fine
