Chapter 35. Tears and Pain

Issahil's POV

[Flashback: About a year ago]

Broken beyond words, after being banished from cloudfall pack, I aimlessly wandered the forests for days.

My dress had become rags, torn and tattered everywhere. It was a good thing it was summer or I would have frozen to death already.

I had no sandals on my foot. I had barely eaten or drank anything so I was very weak. And the worst part was, there was a life growing inside me, starved and malnourished.

Yet, I had to continue to dodge the rogues and wild beasts of the forests. I had cried and cried that my eyes could no longer produce the liquid called tears. Even my wolf was weak and exhausted. She could only whimper in my head.

In my distress, I wondered if it wasn't all futile, trying so hard to hold out and survive. Perhaps, it would be easier to just die…

But then, the child inside me… Wouldn't it be too cruel for it to die even before being born?&nbs
