Chapter 37. Meeting Keisha

Issahil's POV

“Okay, before we get even more excited than we already are, any ideas on how to find this author?”

Hudson nodded. “Keisha can find out about it for us.”

My gaze on him became quizzical. “I mean, I get that this person owes you but isn't it a bit too much using her help like this?”

“Well, do you have another alternative,  perhaps?” I shook my head in negation.  I didn't. 

“She wouldn't mind, trust me,” he said.

I scoffed. “Maybe, but she could get suspicious and it wouldn't do us any good.”

He chuckled lightly and I passed him a glare. “I am sorry Issa, it's just Keisha is pretty enlightened about our kind already.”

My glare on him became even more intent. “Don't tell me you told her about us? Why would you do that Hudson?”

He chuckled again and it only infuriated me all the more. What was he thinking carelessly confiding in a friend about our identity? Didn't he know better?
