“Are you okay Issa?”
I turned to Hudson at his question, and then realised that I was visibly shuddering, my breath hitching even.
Drawing a sharp breath, I sniffed to push back the tears I knew were brimming in my eyes from the stinging sensation on my nostrils.
“Umm, thanks for the help back there.” I sniffed.
His gaze on me was one of worry. His voice hesitated when he asked, “Who was that man?”
“That's not important. What's important is that he won't be coming back again and that's what I want.” Was it? I let out a heavy sigh.
“It doesn't seem like what you want though.” He spelt out my thoughts and I couldn't help glaring at him.
“Well, it's none of your business.” I knew my words were rather harsh considering he had just helped me out but I was feeling too down to care.
