Chapter 29. Epilogue

A few months ago, I thought I was going to be with Luke, spent the rest of my life by his side, and now that I sat in a stunning all-white room, getting my makeup done to walk down the aisle to get married to another man, I couldn't be more excited.

My eyelids shut as the makeup artist rubbed on the eyeshadow, and when I looked up, there was still that smile plastered on her face as she admired her work.

The room door suddenly burst open and my mom, dad, and Liam with his girlfriend, China, walked inside.

"Dad, can you stop crying? You are embarrassing." Liam teased, looking at me.

Then his eyes grew wet too when I smiled at him, and he quickly wiped the tears from his cheeks.

"The men in this family are such big babies," I said, not wanting to shed tears and ruin my makeup. It was my wedding day after all!

"So are the women in our family," Liam said, wiping away a tear.

Our mom was balling her eyes out too
