”You have to talk to your husband, Mia. I need this partnership,” Dad sounded aggravated.

I heaved a weary sigh. “Daddy, you do know Jared is not the CEO of Astra-Z.”

“But his uncle is. Come on, princess, that company is the biggest and most influential in the country right now. I've done my research and even discovered they have other branches outside the country.” He let out an angry grunt. Dad had a short temper that could blow up if he wasn't getting what he wanted. “Do you know what that would do for my career? Moreover, he's now friends with the President. I hear that the President has taken a liking to him. I need that sort of connection.”
