Chapter 36. Whispers of the Abyss

It was a dark evening. An evening where no moonlight pierced the dark sky. The stars were the only light illuminating the world. She was about to fly from the rooftop she had landed on when she saw, not far from her, a girl silently crying, covering her mouth to prevent any noise.

The girl seemed afraid of something. She was hiding. Her forehead creased when she sensed a black aura. She grinned and glanced at the big gate surrounding the city. “False hope,” she murmured before jumping down to the ground.

She hid herself when the silhouette of the monster appeared in front of her. The distance between her and the girl was five meters. The girl was hiding behind the second block, while she was in the first block, with the monster behind her.
