Chapter 5

“Sh*t! I have to cover all these hickeys,” I muttered, staring at the mirror.

At the office, my boss and I were scheduled to meet with corporate clients. As usual, he took the lead, shaking hands confidently.

“Nice to meet you today,” he said with a firm smile.

“Yes, and I’ll send over my schedule for our next meeting,” the client replied.

After they left, his eyes turned to me.

“Miss Lilith, what’s my next appointment?” he asked.

I quickly flipped open the ledger and scanned through his schedule.

“Here’s what you have today,” I said, pointing to the entry.

“Once you know, tell me right away. I have to take this call,” he said, pulling out his phone.

“Good,” I replied, stepping back.

Damn. I’m so caught off guard right now. I need to control myself.

“Yes, baby. Wait there—I’ll be right there,” he said into the phone, smiling slightly.
