Chapter 2
I immediately hooked my hand around his arm and tugged him.
“W-what is it?” he asked, confused.
“We have to go. Quickly,” I said in a low voice.
I glanced back slightly. My boss’s gaze was still fixed on me as he stood with another man.
“I hope he’s not aware of my presence,” I muttered.
“Wait a moment,” said my date, suddenly stopping in his tracks.
I froze when I heard it—
“Mr. Hyung Woo?” he called out.
My eyes widened in shock. I didn’t dare to turn around after hearing that name.
“Who were you with, Mr. Jae?” my boss asked coolly.
My body tensed as the words left his mouth. He was talking to my random date!
“I’m with a beautiful woman here. We’re going on a random date. She’s Lilith,” he said, grinning proudly.
Sh*t! He just said my name—right in front of my boss!
What should I do?
The atmosphere in the bar was suddenly unbearable. My body felt frozen in place.
I slowly turned to face my boss after my date casually admitted we were on a random date.
“I must admit, I didn’t expect you to have this kind of taste, Miss Lilith,” my boss said with a smirk curling at the edge of his lips.
I clenched my hands tightly, trying to keep my composure.
“I-I don’t understand what you’re talking about, sir,” I replied, forcing a calm voice.
“Come on. Don’t pretend like you don’t know what I mean,” he said, his voice sharp but casual.
“Mr. Hyung Woo, we need to talk,” I said, summoning every ounce of courage I had.
The smirk on his face deepened, and I noticed my date narrowing his eyes with a cynical expression.
“But before that…” my boss said, pausing, “we need to get rid of this trash first.”
“W-what?!” my date shouted, clearly offended.
Hyung Woo reached inside his jacket and pulled something out. He handed it to my date.
“Sorry, but take this,” he said.
“What?” my date asked, confused.
I leaned forward, curious.
Was that… money?
“Money?” my date said, his voice rising.
I was shocked too. He really gave him cash?!
With a cold, sharp stare, Hyung Woo spoke again.
“That’s your compensation. Now leave.”
“But we’re going to talk about something important now, bastard!” my date snapped, clearly angry.
“I know you’re my client. But that’s in the office. Here, you’re just a pest,” my boss said, his voice low and dangerous.
I froze at his tone. Despite the tension, he smiled at me—casual, as if nothing had happened.
Now, it was just the two of us. We were standing close, facing each other.
“What are you doing here, Mr. Hyung Woo? This place isn’t exactly for a guy like you,” I said, stumbling over my words.
Damn it. I stuttered.
He smiled casually and chuckled.
“I was here because I wanted to be,” he said, amused by my discomfort.
His nonchalance irritated me. I frowned.
“B-but what about your fiancée? What if the reporters find out?” I asked, my voice rising.
He looked away, scratching the back of his neck.
“My engagement will be called off, and the media will turn my company to dust,” he replied, almost like it didn’t matter.
He was playing games. I clenched my fists.
“If you already know what you’ll lose, then why did you—”
He stepped closer. Two slow steps, and I fell silent. My body stiffened with nervous heat.
“You want the truth?” he asked.
He paused, then leaned in.
“I like going on random dates. Are you having fun?” he added with another one of his smirks.
I stared at him, stunned.
He said it so easily—like it was nothing.
“B-but…” I stammered.
Is he kidding me right now?
“Miss Lilith, I didn’t come here to discuss my love life with you,” he said sharply.
Sh*t. He could see right through me. I was visibly agitated.
“Th-then what do you want from me, Mr. Hyung Woo?” I asked, trying to regain control.
Three more steps forward. I was about to step back when his large hands gripped my waist. He leaned in, his face inches from mine.
Damn it! I couldn’t look away. His eyes. His perfect face. My breath hitched. My body heated.
“I want you to be my partner,” he said softly. “We can please each other in bed.”
I was crumbling. Again—this damn man spoke without a filter.
My heart was pounding.
Then, his hand brushed my cheek. His touch sent sparks racing across my skin. I gasped. I couldn’t resist the intense stimulation—it sent shivers down to my core.
“What do you think, Miss Lilith?” he asked, his voice teasing.
My face burned. I felt the twitching, the wetness rising. He smiled, seducing me even further.
“Y-you want me to be your bed partner?” I asked, trembling.
My thoughts of his fiancée dissolved under this overwhelming heat.
I started to mutter, “It sounds good… and believe me, it’s my wish—my dream—to sleep under my boss’s body. But…”
I lowered my head and clenched my fists.
“Sorry, but I decline your offer, sir,” I whispered.
His shock was immediate and visible.
After inviting me—someone who had secretly loved him for a year—I had just turned him down.
“Why, Miss Lilith?” he asked, quietly.
“The secret… the secret will leak out one day. So, pardon me for rejecting your offer, sir.”
His eyes narrowed. Irritated.
He wasn’t the type to back down easily. I knew he wouldn’t give up.
“No one will ever find out, as long as we’re careful, Miss Lilith,” he said darkly.
He pressed me against the wall. His lips drew close to my already-red ears.
“If you don’t believe me, Miss Lilith… I’ll show you different things. In bed.”
This was happening. He wouldn’t back off. I panicked, trying to gather strength to respond.
His hands gripped my waist.
He kissed my neck, slow and sensual.
I bit my lower lip, trying to resist the surge of stimulation. But I couldn’t.
My hands clutched his shirt, and my mind… was slipping fast.
