Chapter 18. Gasp

Shimma’s POV

I stood up just before he reached my desk. Without warning, his lips crashed into mine.

His kiss was intense, his tongue exploring my mouth as he groaned softly. His hand tangled in my hair, sending shivers down my spine. Moments later, I felt his grip on my waist, pulling me closer, his fingers squeezing gently. My lips ached from the fervor of our kiss.

He cupped my face, and that was when I began to kiss him back. But deep down, I realized it was all for him. So I let him lead.

He pulled back, his gaze fixed on mine. “You’re mine, Shimma. I won’t share you with anyone. If anyone tries to take you from me, I’ll rip them to pieces.” His words stunned me, leaving me breathless.

Why would he say that so suddenly? The intensity in his voice made it clear he meant every word.
