Shimma’s POV

I turned to leave, but I heard him yell.

“Shimma! Don’t move an inch!” he said, his tone commanding.

I turned back to him, eyes wide with shock. Was he ordering me not to move?

He stood up, slowly advancing toward me. I took one step backward, then another, and another until I felt my back press against the wall.

What was happening? Why was I feeling this way? His presence wasn’t supposed to make my heart race this fast. Not after all he did to me. Not after using me and deceiving me.
