Chapter 52. I Want You Right Now

Shimma’s POV

I turned to leave, but I heard him yell.

“Shimma! Don’t move an inch!” he said, his tone commanding.

I turned back to him, eyes wide with shock. Was he ordering me not to move?

He stood up, slowly advancing toward me. I took one step backward, then another, and another until I felt my back press against the wall.

What was happening? Why was I feeling this way? His presence wasn’t supposed to make my heart race this fast. Not after all he did to me. Not after using me and deceiving me.

He stood barely an inch away, eyes locked on mine.

“Shimma,” he started. “I am going to explain everything to you, and I don’t want you to say a word. Not until I am done explaining,” he said, his voice low, sending chills down
