Shimma’s POV

“Shimma,” he said, his tone rough and charged with desire. “I want you right now.”

Just as he was about to take my lips again, a loud knock echoed through the room.

“Sir! I have the files you asked for!” a lady’s voice called out after the knock.

That sound transported me back to my first day in Mr. Mattias’s office—the day I first tasted his intensity.

He ignored the knock, his lips crashing against mine once more, igniting a fire deep within me. But then the knock came again, louder this time, shattering the moment.

I instinctively grabbed my bag, ready to flee.

“I’m sorry, but I have to go,” I mumbled, getting to my feet to leave, but he pulled me back, his eyes icy and unyielding.
