“We are here,” Mr. Mattias said as he sat in the driver’s seat, his gaze drifting to me as we pulled up in front of my parents’ house.

I could feel my heart racing—no, pounding hard! While my mind raced with a million thoughts.

God. What if I am making a mistake by coming here? what if they take me away like they did before? How would they react? What would my father do to Mr. Mattias if he found out I was engaged and pregnant by him? My mother on the other hand must have thought she had ruined everything that Mr. Mattias and I had, but what would her reaction be if she found out she had actually made us closer?
