Chapter 6. Help!

Shimma’s POV

Hours had passed, and it was finally time to leave.

I had an amazing time today—relaxing in the wind, enjoying the sun, and listening to the sound of birds chirping. The calmness was all worth it. Not to mention the food! Mattias literally made the best chocolate cake ever, and I loved every bite.

“I think I’ll go home from here. I have called my driver to come pick me up,” Lucas said.

Lucas was unusually calm and quiet today. It was astonishing how much he wanted to come, yet he spoke only a few words.

I caught a glimpse of him staring at me once, but not after that until now. He hasn’t looked my way even until now.

Maybe he was sorry for his actions. I shouldn’t be mad at him because he was only reacting out of his feelings. I just needed him to understand that it wasn’t going to work between us.
