Chapter 47
The room they took him to was way bigger, but it was the same house. Jim stood at the entrance and beckoned them as he laughed. His laugh in that huge hall threatened to bring back the recent memories that he had struggled to get over, at least for the meantime. He was pinned to the wall, wrists and ankles chained to the wall as if he was going to be crucified.
Suddenly, what had seemed a normal day was becoming sinister darkness. At this moment, Mitchell said, “You are so lucky that your father will die a humble death in front of his beloved son. Tell me something humbler.” He chuckled.
The room was so dark that he couldn’t see his palms. And even with his eyes closed, he saw a shape in grey against the blind darkness. It was a human body.
