Chapter 48

Mitchell tilted his head, forcing his gaze toward the scenario. He struggled to free his head. Jim, now fully changed to human, his body naked and battered with the blood of the people he had toyed with, paced forward. "I hope you have enjoyed the show, haven't you?" He smiled, and Alex wanted to claw the look off the bastard's face. He snarled, headbutting Jim's nose. No sooner had he hit him than blood began to stream out of his nostrils, staining his already blood-stained torso. Furious, Jim threw a heavy at Alex's face that would have laid his brain naked to the world if it had connected. He dodged. Another badly aimed blow hit him right on the left jaw, dislocating it. He groaned.

He began to tremble, watching in fury as Alex's laughter soared above all the cheering and distinct chatters of the crowd. Jim growled, his hands on Alex's neck. "Say a word, and I will burst your brain."

“Stop it!" Mitchell shouted. &
