Chapter 109

It was now a few minutes to five in the morning and Clary was already awake. There was no natural light because the sun was still hiding away while the half-moon showed off its glory. 

Clary rolled over in the bed and her heart kept thumping in her chest. She could not help but be anxious about two things: her training classes and the fact that her mom wanted her to do something that could go sideways. 

But she knew too that her mom had a point. Kie’s husband could not be trusted, and so maybe her mom’s plan was for the better. Because she would definitely not feel too comfortable with being trained by someone that she did not trust. 

“Clary?” Sarah called in a whisper, trying to find out if her daughter was awake. It was almost five in the morning and she wanted to make sure that the omega was no longer sleeping.
