Applause rang out in the conference room and Clary’s cheeks heated up. She was not used to that kind of attention. She could not breathe too well and her throat was constricting.

Everyone clapped; everyone but Selena. The Luna had a tight frown on her face as she sat next to Levi. She kept glaring at the omega, anger still brewing in her. 

Clary stood to her feet when the noise had died, everyone stared at her and her heart pounded in her chest. Her breathing was heavy and sweat beads formed on her forehead even though it was not even hot. 

“Uh…” She began, dragging the word as she tried to avoid the many eyes on her. “As Alpha Ace said, I am Clary Astoria, an omega of this pack. I was chosen by the Moon goddess as a savior; as the one who would deliver us from the evil that loomed over us.”
