“Non-uh, no buts. Star is dead. We defeated him. Even though a lot of other packs were destroyed, we saved ours. We did what needed to be done and instead of us sitting and wallowing in our insecurities and doubts, I suggest that we celebrate and plan on returning back to the pack.” 

Aiden heard and understood Clary really well but he also saw the hint of fear behind those eyes of hers. He knew that deep within, she was still worried about Star coming back to wreak havoc on everyone. 

“You know, what? You’re right? No more fear!” Sarah said as she flashed them a bright smile. “I think we should all get something to eat and head to the pack to share the big news with them.” 

That made Aiden feel a little sick in his stomach. Yeah, he was still a bit worried about the whole Star situation but the main reason he felt sick to his stomach was because if he went back to the pack, he would have to face everyone, including his son and wife.
