Chapter 95

Drip. Drip. Drip. Drip. 

That was the sound that woke me up. The dripping of water into something like a metallic pan. I released a labored breath and then opened my heavy eyelids. The world was blurred for a few seconds until my vision cleared. 

My throat was very dry and I was in a lot of pain. I proceeded to get up from where I was lying but it was torture. I managed to do it though. I sat up and groaned as I study the room I was in. 

The air smelled like urine and mud. And the sound of the water dripping was now even louder. I soon realized that it was raining. And there was a leak from the ceiling. A metallic pan was placed under the part of the roof that was leaking, as a way to collect the dripping water. 

That was where the sound was coming from. 

My head was hurting so badly and I could not stop my eyes from producing tears. A sob escaped my mouth when my mind reminded me of everything that had happened.
