Chapter 35

Soaked. We are all soaked as we follow Zayn deeper into the forest; he’s leading us to where he saw the orb in his vision. The rain is pouring heavily and there are now flashes of lightning in the sky. The winds are cold and unforgiving and the ground is all mushy and wet.

We have now passed the oak tree that I used to hide under. No one seems to be talking, we all just walk in silence until Zayn suddenly stops. “Here!” He says.

He looks at me. “This is the place I saw in my vision.” 

“I don’t mean to sound not excited, but that’s just a tree. A very old and ordinary tree,” Bunny says. “It’s not even glowing,” She adds, and I chuckle.

“What exactly did you see in the vision?” I ask him as I put a few wet strands of my hair behind my ear. It’s still raining but at least we have finally reached where we were headed. The only thing now is we don’t know what to do.
