I inhaled sharply when the man glanced at me. He smirked and pretended that he did not see me as he continued to have sex with Serenity. The man was no other but the vampire king, Jacob. 

I rushed away from the living room and headed for my room. My head was spinning and so many questions were popping into it. 

I opened the door, walked in, and locked it. I lowered my body and sat behind the door as I tried to control my breathing. I placed my phone on the floor along with my headphone and water bottle. 

Then I suddenly heard the front door open and after a few seconds, I heard it close. I rose to my feet, opened my door, and walked out. I headed down the stairs and with purposeful strides, I searched for Serenity.
