Chapter 102

It was like time stopped. My mouth became dry like sandpaper and my heart was pounding in my chest. I tried to speak but could not as one of the officers placed handcuffs on my wrists. He made it tighter than I was comfortable with but this was no time to complain.

Everyone was looking at us and there were gasps and indistinct murmuring from the guests. When I blinked, it was like I was pulled from my shock and right back to the harsh reality of what was happening. 

The other officer had handcuffed Zayn and the lady introduced herself as a detective and began to read our rights to us. 

“Excuse me? Excuse me?!” I heard Ashton’s voice. He came running with Zoe by his side. “What the hell is going on here?” 

“Your friends are being arrested, that’s what’s happening. Now if you want more information, sir, kindly follow us to the station,” The detective informed Ashton, and Zoe started crying. 

The officer gently pushed me forward and I started
