Chapter 12. I Know I'm a Monster

Hope's POV

I woke up at 2:30 a.m., took a quick shower and got dressed without making much noise. My classmates were still sleeping. I quickly walked down to the stage 1 practice yard and saw my team already there.

"Great, you're all here. It's simple, you must first warm-up, up for half an hour, when you finish the course in less than 60 seconds you can rest."

I sat in the middle of the arena, around it was a track with different obstacles, between walls to climb, holes to jump, a few wires, ropes to climb and ladders to pass.

I turned on my cell phone, listening to my team start exercising, stretching, doing some push-ups, and doing small laps. Great, that at least I didn't have to teach, and then I heard them start to run.

I don't participate in groups or look at gossip sites, but it was impossible to ignore when on the messenger app the notifications showed up. Several news items about Kendrick and I had already appeared.

It was as if I had ma
