Chapter 20. The Game

Kendrick's POV

I kept my hands in my pockets as I listened to them saying goodbye and in the end, it was me and Kaiden in the living room watching Hope go to her room, when the door closed I heard Kaiden's voice.

"She's going to get hurt, Kendrick, you're my friend, the others may not have noticed, but I know you like her." I listened to his words.

"Night is telling me all the time that she is my Luna." I took a deep breath, still keeping my gaze on the door, already listening to the sound of the shower. "But at no point has he said we are meant to be, only that he wants Hope as Luna. He didn't even let me mark Rachel."

"Your wolf has always been in love with Hope, remember? When you turned for the first time, Night went running to look for Hope."

I took my left hand out of my pocket and ran it through my hair.
