Harry gritted his teeth and narrowed his eyes at Brooklyn. She was pissing him off, and she knew it. “No, you’re fucking not! Not while Ben is there!”
“It’s not like he’s going to attack me in a diner full of people!” Brooklyn exclaimed. “I’m not going home to my dad, so I’m going to work! I need a little normal in life, Harry!” Brooklyn took a step away, but Harry grabbed her hand, stopping her.
“Don’t walk away from me, babe. You’re starting to make a scene. Just get in the car, and we can talk about this then.”
“I don’t care if I’m making a scene! You’re being a controlling ass! I won’t stand for it! And the moment I get in that car, I know I most certainly will not be going to work. Now, let go of me and stop being an ass and let me go to work!”
There was a whistle, and Brooklyn looked over when Greyson walked up to them. “Little tip, Brooklyn,” he said and glanced at Harry with a small smirk, “don’t piss off the wolf.”
