Alana's eyes were red from rubbing them multiple times. She stared at her computer screen and then at her phone. No call from Ricardo. The man only asked Dennis to deliver lunch and other lovey-dovey gifts, and nothing.

“Ah! This can't be happening,” it was frustrating to concentrate on work when her so-called husband was busy spending time away from her.

“So…is it okay?” Someone's voice brought her back to reality. Startled, Alana glanced up and found her new assistant standing before her with a confused expression. “The materials just came in, the team is asking if you can check and select the ones you like,” the girl with big glasses covering half her face said and Alana knew what had happened.

“Oh, Becky I think I need to look at this later,” Alana said with a sigh and pushed the chair backwards. The girl gave a half smile and placed a few files on the table.
