Chapter 27. Can't Force Affection

“Sir, don't worry, madam will be fine…her wound was not thoroughly cleaned…she suffered an infection,” the doctor said to Ricardo and gave him the reports. Alana was half sitting on the narrow bed, unsure of what to do. It wasn't her fault, he didn't know anything about being a doctor, and he ended up causing even more harm. It had been three days since she got hurt and the wound was getting worse.

Ricardo had no choice but to rush her to the hospital for proper medical care.

“Thanks, doctor,” Alana heard Ricardo say to the doctor, and he left the room. 

“This isn't necessary,” Alana remarked with a frown, averting her eyes from him. The doctor treated her wound and gave her an injection to make her feel better. Ricardo walked closer to the bed and bent down to look at her.
