Briar’s POV

"Are you sure we won’t drown?" Kylan asked.

"Or get lost?" Kieran added.

I sighed as I meditated in front of the flowing water at the beach that led into the deep sea.

I was trying to access deep into the well of my siren abilities where I would be able to bring enough power to create a pocket of air for the kings and the children.

The journey was far and fraught. I needed to be prepared, but their questions were starting to tick me off.

"A siren... never forgets the way home. Muscle memory."

"I find it hard to want to rely on muscle memory, love," Kylan said as he looked at the sea, a hand shielding his eyes from the sun. "Kai... maybe we should get Marcus to send a submarine."

I sighed for the nth time. "Submarines can’t pass through the borders of a mystical kingdom. My skin needs direct access with the water to be able to navigate the magical currents."<
