"We need to draw them to the surface!" I shouted over the chaos, watching more of those twisted creatures pour through the breached wall.

"Are you insane?" Kai yelled back. "That’s exactly what they want!"

"No, they want me trapped down here where my power is strongest," I argued. "They’re not expecting me to willingly give up my advantage."

Kieran understood immediately. "She’s right. This is a siege tactic. They’re trying to force us to either surrender or exhaust ourselves defending."

"So we lure them up where we can fight on more equal ground," Kylan finished, flames already dancing around his hands despite the water.

"Exactly. Get the children and the kingdom residents to the deep chambers," I commanded. "I’ll create a path to the surface for us and make sure these things follow."
