Chapter 9
Matthew
"You shouldn't be going out on a stroll." My mum called out walking behind me.
"I'm fine, mum," I said walking along with her down the corridor. "I can't continue laying like a lame man on the bed. I need to flex my leg muscles a bit." I say walking with the rollator while still receiving an IV drip which was hung from a hook on the rollator.
"Excuse me, madam." A nurse stopped us. "Doctor George asks to meet with you." She said and I suddenly noticed how my mum's face grew worried but she quickly masked it with a smile.
"I'll be with him soon..." She called out and the nurse walked away.
"Stay in the balcony, I'd quickly go meet with George... I'm sure he wants to talk about your hospital payment." My mother joked and I smiled at her joke even though I knew George must have asked her to give her feedback about my health whether I was having less than two months or I was even dying the next day.
