Erin and Miles watched helplessly as an awfully familiar figure walked into the meeting room. Erin shook herself awake, but this wasn’t a dream…

It was a dose of reality.

Miles watched silently as Chris simply extended a handout. Mr. Reynolds quickly placed the contract in Chris’ hands and handed him a pen. Chris took a moment, looking at Erin for a brief moment, and during that moment, the world around her faded away.

Chris. The love of her life that she hadn’t seen in ten years. The person who she thought was the one for her was right in front of her once more. She looked him up and down for a quick second, taking note of the stubble covering his chin and his hair that seemed to have gotten longer. But one thing hasn’t changed.

Those piercing blue eyes.

Erin watched as those eyes stared back at her, and suddenly, she was sent ten years into the past, memories of every good moment she had with him flashing before her
