"Do you guys need some goodies?" Katie asked. "Kelly is the coke tray tonight. Just be careful, she might try to lick or suck anything that gets close to her mouth!"

"We just had some, but thanks," Stephanie said.

"Well, then let me introduce you!" Katie said loudly, ripping the floor away from Dave, which wasn’t hard because Stephanie was gorgeous, and a lot of eyes undressed her. "Guys, this is Stephanie. She’s a friend of ours. We met through Rita."

A chorus of, "Hi, Stephanie!" called out, but then the party returned to its previous pace. The din was growing. More cocaine disappeared, and a few people started pairing off, seeking out corners of the suite or removing themselves entirely to the privacy of another room.
