Chapter 104. Repent

Luna's POV

Why? What was he thinking when he didn't tell Athens the truth? My daughter's heart may be won at that point, and he would no longer have to suffer at the hands. He will just assert that I am the one who fled Athen and my world will come crashing down. That way he will take custody of Athen. I don't want him to be sympathetic to me because my delusion will make me come back to life.

Again, I'm terrified of what he's going to do, and probably one day I'll be surprised that he abandoned me on the air again. I want him to demonstrate how much he despises me so that I may atone for my transgression by paying him back in full. However, if he continues to treat me in this manner, I am certain that I will be the only one to suffer, since I know that my conscience will be troubled.

"Why?" I couldn't help but question him, but he didn't seem to give heed to me, and tears just gushed into my eyes as a reaction. I took a single step towards him and
